Frankincense is known for its grounding and centering effects. It can help create a sense of inner peace.

Bergamot has a citrusy and uplifting aroma. It can help elevate your mood and reduce stress.

Ylang-ylang has a sweet and floral scent that can help promote relaxation and reduce anxiety.

Instructions

When working with essential oils you'll need a carrier oil to dilute your DIY Herbal Perfume. Sweet almond oil, jojoba oil, or fractionated coconut oil are good options.

For a 2% dilution (recommended for adults), mix approximately 12 drops of essential oils with 1 fluid ounce (30 ml) of carrier oil. Adjust the ratio if you prefer a stronger or milder scent.

In a clean, glass container, add the chosen carrier oil and then add the essential oils one by one. Use a dropper for precise measurements.

Gently swirl the oils together to ensure they are well combined.

Store your essential oil blend in a dark glass bottle.  If you like you can also use a clear vessel to have the aesthetic of showing the dried herbs, just be sure to protect it from light and keep it in a cool, dry place.

If you need a simple kit to get you started you can use our DIY Herbal Perfume Kits that have all the basics to get you started.  You will need to buy your own essential oils, but the kits have the vessels and carrier oil for you to make your first set of roller balls.

Usage:

Here are a few ways to use your DIY Herbal Perfume relaxation and stress relief essential oil blend:

Add a few drops of your blend to an essential oil diffuser and let it disperse throughout the room.  Or add the blend into distilled water in a spray bottle for a morning mist on your bedsheets.

Apply the blend to your wrists, neck, temples, or the soles of your feet and massage gently.

Add a few drops to a warm bath for a luxurious and relaxing soak with epsom salts & flower petals.

Lastly - Inhale the scent directly from the bottle or by placing a few drops on a tissue.

Remember to perform a patch test before applying the blend to a larger area of your skin to ensure you don't have any adverse reactions to the essential oils. Additionally, pregnant women and individuals with certain medical conditions should consult with a healthcare professional before using essential oils.
